Screening of Rare Nottingham Film

Continuing MACE’s long running relationship with the Broadway Cinema in Nottingham, October sees a rare screening of the 1971 ATV documentary ‘A Completely Different Way of Life?‘.

Phil Leach from MACE will be at the Broadway on 14 October to introduce the film, which was directed by the award winning cinematographer Chris Menges who is best known for his work on feature films including ‘Local Hero’ and ‘The Killing Fields’.

This fifty minute film provides a fascinating look at the work of a community group that lived and worked in the St Ann’s area of Nottingham during a time of great urban renewal.

Also being screened at the event will be the famous ‘Report: St Ann’s’ directed in 1969 for Thames Television by Stephen Frears.  Tickets can be booked via the Broadway’s website here.
