At the end of August MACE’s collections were given a new home at the University of Leicester.
Back in October 2006 MACE’s moved its administrative operation from the University of Nottingham to the University of Leicester. At the time the University of Leicester was extending its library and consequently it could not accomodate MACE’s collections until the work on the library had been completed. In the meantime the University of Nottingham kindly agreed to let us continue storing our collections at its King’s Meadow campus.
Earlier this year the University of Leicester opened its new library freeing up space in one of their stores for MACE. So, at the end of August the collections were moved down to Leicester where we can keep a much closer eye on them.
We are incredibly grateful to the University of Nottingham, for accommodating our collections for an additional two years, and the University of Leicester for providing our current storage space.
