ATV Today: 21.11.1978: Football – Viv Anderson picked for England


Back in November 1978, ATV Today were reporting on Nottingham Forest player Viv Anderson being picked for the England team for the international against what was Czechoslovakia – making him the first black player to play for England.

Gary Newbon interviewed Viv regarding the possibility of playing for England and interviewed Nottingham Forest manager, Brian Clough, regarding the ability of Viv Anderson, but the need for the player to acquire more confidence in his game.
