Kirk Ireton couple deposit 1937 film collection with MACE Full Circle project.

Last week Richard ‘Dick’ Pollard and his wife Eileen very generously donated their collection of cine films dating back to 1937.

Amongst the footage that Dick filmed were family caravan holidays in Wales (Aberdaron) Anglesey,  the East Coast (Theddlethorpe, Anderby Creek) and other holidays in Torquay and Oban.  Other footage includes Allestree, Duffield, Norway and  an American trip on the Queen Mary where Dick filmed a supermarket in 1962. These are just some of the highlights of this lovely collection.

Over the next few months this will be catalogued properly and will soon be available as viewing clips on the MACE website.
