RTS Awards Nominees feat. MACE Archive

We’re very proud to have supplied footage to two RTS Midlands Centre Awards nominees for 2010!!

MADE IN BIRMINGHAM: Reggae Punk Bhangra is a swish films production for Birmingham Popular Music Archive., directed by Deborah Aston with Executive Producers Roger Shannon and  Jez Collins. It has been nominated for two awards this year, BEST NEW TALENT and BEST DOCUMENTARY.

Also in the running for an award is In-Cahoots and Clusta’s innovative and exciting online archive film mash up tool, http://www.wevee.co.uk, which has been nominated for BEST DIGITAL INNOVATION.

If you haven’t seen Made in Birmingham yet then don’t miss the opportunity of seeing this poignant and perceptive look at the history of three different music genres of Birmingham, told with a subtle, flowing narrative from director Deborah Aston and featuring a wealth of material from MACE’s vaults, including clips for the Here and Now series as well as rarely seen news footage from more than thirty years ago.
