Half of MACE’s team will base much of their week in other parts of the Midlands, doing outreach work around the counties of the East and West Midlands and working from home offices in Derbyshire and Leicestershire – including me.
As I get to work with the usual business of the day in Derbyshire, Phil Leach, James Patterson, Kayla Thompson and Andrew Jenkins continue to shelve the collections in the new temperature controlled archive storage and set up the technical area.
There were so many crates unloaded from the lorry today that crates were placed right down the corridor of the University of Lincoln’s MHT Building. But within the day, James and Phil succeeded in unpacking all these crates.
By next week we hope to be up and running. It’s been a busy week and all 9 of MACE’s team have worked so hard, with the great support of the University of Lincoln.
Pics below of Richard Shenton packing the last of the crates at the University of Leicester, Phil Leach at the other end at the University of Lincoln, shelving the 16mm film cans, and the technical suite taking shape.
