MACE hold many films, both amateur and professional, of Queen Elizabeth’s visits to the East and West Midlands from before her reign to the 1990, and in run up to to the diamond jubilee celebrations what better moment to highlight some of the films we hold that are available to view online.

Another clip from Associated Television, this time it’s 1968 and The Queen is on a visit to Nottingham and touring the Raleigh bicycle factory. In the clip you will see the Queen arrive by train and crowds watch the royal car pass by. You will also see the Queen at the Market Square in Nottingham. At the Raleigh factory the Queen is seen observing workers with bicycles at various stages of production and signing the guest book.
