MACE hold many films, both amateur and professional, of Queen Elizabeth’s visits to the East and West Midlands from before her reign to the 1990, and in run up to to the diamond jubilee celebrations what better moment to highlight some of the films we hold that are available to view online.

In March 1957 Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh visited Derby and Associated TV Cameras were there to capture the large crowds gathered. The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh arrived by car and was met by the Mayorof Derby, J.H. Christmas. The Queen then inspected a line of uniformed men in the Market Place.
