‘Redditch on Film’ Screening 28th September, Palace Theatre, to showcase rarely seen footage of the area

The Redditch Local History Society Presents ‘Redditch on Film’

For the past three years the Redditch Local History Society (RLHS) has been working with MACE to locate old cine films of the Redditch area. Films collected have been restored, digitised and securely stored by MACE for future generations to enjoy.

The Redditch Film Festival is an opportunity for you to join a select audience to view some of the collected films. Films on show will include local events that have made the news, insights into some of Redditch’s industrial heritage and footage of everyday life in Redditch.  Some of these films have never been seen in public before.

This event is being staged in conjunction with the celebrations of the 1OOth anniversary of the Palace Theatre and as part of the RLHS’ s commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Redditch as a New Town.
