In this month’s Lincolnshire Life: University of Lincoln’s Prof. David Sleight writes about Ruston Hornsby (Siemens) Archive…and MACE’s Involvement

In this month’s publication of Lincolnshire Life, Professor David Sleight, Dean for Public Engagement at the University of Lincoln and MACE board member, writes about the Ruston Hornsby (Siemens) Archive, an incredible archive of documents, photographs and films which reveals the prominent role Lincolnshire played in Britain’s industrial revolution.

In the article he explains MACE’s involvement in the project as 150 films from this collection are being preserved in our archive.

Professor Sleight recalls how the project came about and writes of how a major heritage project is now underway to catalogue this archive, which spans 150 years of engineering heritage.

You can read the full article in Lincolnshire Life online HERE and also read about how you can help with cataloguing and in its future public access.
